ALBA - Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archives

ALBA was founded by the Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade (VALB) and "is a non profit national organization devoted to the preservation and dissemination of the history of the North American role in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and its aftermath." This site offers information about ALBA's activities (e.g. discussion group, current travel exhibitions, educational programs, periodical "The Volunteer"). ALBA's main interest lies in expanding and supervising its massive archives, housed at Brandeis University. "The archives include the complete files of the national office of VALB and the personal papers and memorabilia of numerous Spanish Civil War volunteers. These now include several hundred Spanish Civil War posters and thousands of pages of letters written home from Spain."
